| Telecom operators offer their subscribers with a complete billing plan for their network usage. As new networks and services are deployed, there is a need to collect charging information from various network elements in order to provide subscribers with a single bill for all the services, effectively and accurately. For this, it is highly important to filter the CDR’s in the required format to the downstream system and can easily fit into future networks to seamlessly provide adaptation for new and changing sources of information. Charging Gateway Function (CGF) is an application that provides a mechanism to transfer charging information or CDR’s from various network elements to the downstream system. CGF is an open, convergent mediation system that supports mediation for voice, data, and content in wired/wireless communication and all-IP environment (including 2G, 2.5G, 3G, LTE and WiMax, etc.). It correlates events and transfers them to a convergent billing system using a single interface to simplify integration. |
| Crestel Charging Gateway Function (CGF) is a 3GPP compliant offline mediation solution supporting GTP Prime protocol that is capable of accepting any event or record in any standards based format generated by the network and producing rich records in format required by the downstream system. It helps protect investment in existing BSS/OSS systems by interfacing to transfer information to the downstream system in the required format. |
| It also acts as storage buffer for CDR collection and to perform consolidation of CDRs. It handles Filtering, Duplicate Detection, Cloning, Data Editing, Data Processing, Error Processing, Data Formatting and Enrichment of CDR in accordance with 3GPP specifications. |
